Hi!

I'm a slacker, sue me.

No, don't. I need my monies.

Anyway, I've been watching a little movie lately about a creepy old man stalker type, who collects odd things, consorts with insects, and lusts after someone who is probably more than 3 times his junior.

The amazing thing is, this creepy old man stalker type is absolutely adorable and lovable. Who is this and how can this be?

Seriously. He's like 700 years old. His technology is very analog to EVE's digital and ultra-high tech. He's about 700 years old, so I'm figuring she's at least half that, probably "younger." She definitely hasn't been active long enough to build up sentience like WALL-E has, though she does with his help. She clearly doesn't want him around at first, but he stalks the heck out of her, and then does some pretty stalker-y things when she's powered down.

But look at 'em...so darn cute.

  1. I don't think he lusts after her at all. He's just so happy to have someone else to (relate to? react with?) that he gets 'infatuated' with her. Thus the 'relationship' with the roach, the obsession over the video tape ... the collecting in and of itself. Sure, by the end of the movie they're clearly into each other, but that all comes about the same way that Harry, Ron, and Hermione became friends. By which I mean that WALL-E and EVE end up fighting a troll in one of the girls' restrooms.

  2. I guess I should have mentioned spoiler alert or something. About the troll and the bathroom I mean. Sorry if I ruined the movie for anyone. By which I mean Harry Potter and the Sorcerers' Philosopher's Stone. In Space for Some Reason.

  3. what an awesome movie that it. I still can't get over how well they portray emotions with so few words.

Feel free to comment. So that I may respond and possibly mock and ridicule you. Just kidding. Maybe. We'll see what you say first, how about that.
