Relatively Breaking News: Surprise, Eli Manning Knows How to Smile

In a stunning upset, Eli Manning broke the frown lines on his face with a smile. When asked for comment, his brother Peyton says "I gave him all the advice I could. In the end, he just had to use those muscles."

  2. I think back to back rings going to brothers is a better story than cheating your way to a perfect season.

  3. Yeah, even though I really really hate Eli Manning.

  4. What I wanna know is why did we have to spend half that game looking at PEYTON. That was not the Manning on the field. At least Peyton wasn't in another six commercials. =P

  5. Yeah, it was pandemonium in my household last night. The hubs being the biggest Giant fan (who, to his credit, went into the game expecting a blowout by the Pats and damn near cried when they hit that touchdown at the end). I really do hope that he gets to be "Eli Manning" instead of Peyton's brother and/or Archie's other kid because I'm tired of hearing their names in Eli interviews.

And Eli really creeps me out because he looks like Smeby when he still had teeth. I have issues looking at him when he's not wearing a helmet.

  6. Dawn: Because he's his brother, and is not only an NFL QB, but last years MVP, etc etc. Made sense to me.

Katy: OH MY GOD! I never thought about it, but you're so right, they do look alike! Or, did, before Smebs went hockey.

  7. It's fair to say that I dislike all Mannings equally, but on a more level playing field, it really bugged me that Eli is forced to continue living in his brother's shadow. I understand a few camera shots of Peyton during the game, same as when they show Favre's wife or The Bus's parents, but I found it ridiculous that we had to check on Peyton's reaction to every play.

Feel free to comment. So that I may respond and possibly mock and ridicule you. Just kidding. Maybe. We'll see what you say first, how about that.
