Inadvertant Shadow Art

Was talking with David via his comments, and mentioned that I had inadvertently taken this picture while trying to get a shot of Elmo at play. I then attempted to take other ones, and none of them worked out. Go figure. Guess that how it works sometimes. Well, enjoy the I-didn't-intend-it goodness.

Also, no comments on the slippers. They're Land's End, and they rock.

  1. Excellent shadow shot. Elmo is sitting in just the right spot... or you are standing in just the right spot... either way. - chuckle.

Blue Man Group has been playing on Public Television. I get stuck on the channel while I'm surfing, again and again. They are so entertaining.

Thanks. The only other good shot is one that looks like he's sniffing my shadow head.

I think I've seen that PBS special, it's called something like Beyond the Tube, right? That's a pretty good doc on their works.

  3. This reminds me of the eBay picture I took earlier today and in the reflection of the piece of electronics you can see me clearly holding the camera for the photograph.

  4. Hi Bart
Really like this picture - wish I had taken it.
The dog looks as if it is floating in mid air.

    As for a caption:
“Hero Elmo guards masters Blue Suede Shoes from thieving Shadowy Figure.”

Heh. I like seeing those reflections in movies. It happens quite a few times in the original Star Wars trilogy, with all the shiny stuff.

  8. Bart,

Now I gotta watch Star Wars again, so I can catch a glimpse of a director's chair on C3PO

Empire Strikes Back has one I'm very aware of. I'm not sure if it got cleaned up on the 1997 reissues, but when Chewbacca finds the pieces of 3PO in the junk pile, and picks up his head, you can see half the crew in the reflection.

Feel free to comment. So that I may respond and possibly mock and ridicule you. Just kidding. Maybe. We'll see what you say first, how about that.
